以学生为本位:高等职业技术大学系务的策略——以台湾建国科技大学工业工程与管理系为例

Student-Centered Approach for Departments in Vocational Colleges and Universities: A Case Study of IE & M Department of Chienkuo Technology University

台湾地区学龄人口急速减少,学校愈办愈多,大学教育已由精英教育蜕变成普及教育,各级学校即将面临招生不足之困境。技职体系之大专校院在此冲击过程中,各系必须依学校的发展特色,订定以学生为导向之经营策略,并全力以赴,方才能在逆境中求生存,继续为社会培育需要的人才,否则终将被洪流所吞噬而提早退场。本文拟以建国科技大学工业工程与管理系办学经验为例,分享近年来努力之成果,更期盼两岸技职教育携手合作共创未来。

Due to less school kids and expanding schools, higher education has witnessed a transition from elite education to universal access in Taiwan. Higher education, especially, the vocational education is faced with a serious bottleneck in finding enough students. To solve the problem, higher vocational colleges should develop their own features and adopt a student-oriented approach. The paper discusses the development of Industrial Engineering and Management Department of Chienkuo Technology University in the hope of cooperation between Taiwan and China＇s mainland in the field of higher vocational education..
