Counselor specialization is a necessity for enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education and for improving the quality of personnel training. In recent years, researches on counselor specialization boast great progress. Researchers have made positive study from the aspects of significance of counselor specialization, problems in counselor specialization, and ways of promoting counselor specialization in universities.
