Tradition and Modernity: Concept of "Reform" and Its Definition

"革命"虽是一个具有普适性的概念,但由于东西方历史、文化的差异以及时代的变迁、情境的转换,对于"革命"的理解存在着相当大的差异,而"革命"话语本身也经历着一个由传统到现代的转换过程。

＂Reform＂ is a general concept that is of universality. However, because of historical and cultural differences between the Eastern and Western eountries, the transition of times and contexts, there exist great differences in the understanding of ＂reform＂. Meanwhile, the ＂reform＂ discourse itself has undergone a transition from tradition to modernity as well.
