Qu Qiubai and the Incident of Chinese Students Staying in the Soviet Union

在瞿秋白担任中共驻共产国际代表团团长期间,由来已久的中国留苏学生中间的派别纷争愈演愈烈。在调查研究的基础上,瞿秋白对学生中的派别争斗提出了自己的看法,对留苏学生的教育问题提出了质疑,从而与共产国际产生了意见分歧。在随后展开的联共(布)清党运动中,瞿秋白受到强烈冲击,并被解除了中共驻共产国际代表职务。

When Qu Qiubai was in charge of the CPC delegation to the Comintern, the long-standing factional disputes among Chinese students staying in the Soviet Union became even intensified. On the basis of investigation and study, Qu Qiubai expressed his own opinions about the factional strife and cast doubt on the education of Chinese students staying in the Soviet Union, thus running against the opinions of the Communist International. In the subsequent Soviet Union Party purge movement, Qu Qiubai was severely influenced and was discharged of the CPC representative.
