摘要
在ACTFEL(交流薄膜电致发光)显示器中用作列电极的ITO(氧化铟锡)材料的低的导电性极大地限制了器件的尺寸。通过将其简化为一个行与列驱动等效电路模型,能够定量地快速了解这一限制。且提出了减小这一限制的一种可行方法——金属边墙结构。
The low conductivity of transparent ITO column electrodes severely limits the size of an ACTFEL display. Simplified equivalent row and column drive circuits are proposed for a fast investigation of the limitation. It reveals that the column drive circuit plays a dominant role in the time delay. The worst delay case occurs when just one pixel in the driven row is turned on, instead of one half of the pixels when the total capacitance reaches its maximum value. This implies the importance of the contribution from column electrode resistance. Furthermore, a feasible means, metal sidewall structure, is presented for alleviating this restriction.
