In the light of the successful experiences of vacuum precompressed technique of soft soil foundation treatment in the dike slope zone of Shenzhen river regulation project 1st phase,the paper describes the advantages of vacuum precompressed method for the consolidation of soft soil foundation in slope excavation,the adaptability in narrow strip arc-shape soft soil foundation,and the excellent popularization prospect in the treatment of soft soil foundation in coastal urban area with high requirements in environmental protection and constrainted spaces.
