Contextual Independence of Lexical Pragmatic Information and the Inefficiency of Its Interpretation in Dictionaries

本文从词汇语用学的视角探究词汇信息的临时性和语境依赖性,通过例释对照词典中词汇释义与语境下词汇用法之间的语用差异,揭示现有释义的严重缺陷与不足,意在提出设立"语用类别"的必要性。

With the aim of exploring how to enrich pragmatic information in learners＇ dictionaries, this study analyzes the instantaneousness of lexical information and its contextual dependence. Pragmatic differences between lexical interpretation in dictionaries and contextual uses are exemplified, some inefficiency and serious issues about lexical interpretation have been found, ＂pragmatic class＂ for words and expressions with pragmatically dominated information has therefore been proposed.
