Lack of solid foundation and listening conciousness are standing problems in the course of college English listening for general colleges and universities in Sichuan Province. After the Wenchuan earthquake, these colleges and universities whose students are mainly from Sichuan Province, face an unprecedented challenge as a result of the cancellation of listening in college entrance examination. It is critical for these colleges and universities to find an effective solution on the basis of the present conditions and resources.
