开放经济的政治学：一个新兴的交叉学科

Open Economy Politics:A North American Perspective on an Emerging Interdiscipline

随着国际政治经济学在20世纪70年代初的兴起,开放经济的政治学正在成为很多学者构建和指导研究的主导方法,尤其是在北美地区。作者概括了国际政治经济学的起源和早期的发展,阐述了开放经济的政治学在利益、制度和国家间议价这三个层面的分析视角,并在此基础上对开放经济的政治学与建构主义进行了对比。中国这个新兴经济大国的崛起不仅给世界经济带来了巨大变化,也对开放经济的政治学中有关国际市场力量和规模效益递增的假设提出了挑战。开放经济的政治学这一分析方法之所以成功源于其强大的实证基础、严谨的演绎以及广泛的理论背景。

With the field of international political economy (IPE) created in the early 1970s,open economy politics (OEP),a dominant approach,now structures and guides research among many scholars,at least in North America. The author first provides an overview of IPE With its early currents of the field,and then explains the three analytical blocks of OEP,namely,interests,institutions,and interantional bargaining. The author constrast OEP with constructivism,its most plausible approach. China’s rapid rise as a global economic power ont only brings dramatic changes to world economy but also highlights two anlytic limitiations of OEP on interntional market power and increasing returns to scale. The author finally concludes that OEP has succeeded in capturing the field of IPE in North America due to its strong empirical foundation,deductive rigor,and broad bodies of theory integrated.
