《易经》是中国最早传入西方的古典文献之一,但其卦爻辞古奥难训,结构复杂,以往的英译本在字、词、句三个层面都存在大量误译现象。对于英译《易经》卦爻辞来说,译者应对原文中的通假字、词语的本义和引申义进行详细的考辩,并对原文的句法结构进行细致的分析,包括正确的句读,以及对省略和倒装等语言现象的辨析。
The Yijing is one of the earliest Classics introduced into the West. However,the hexagram and line statements of the Yijing are so archaic and abstruse that there were many errors in previous English translations in respects of words,terms and sentences as well.
