The spirit and core of college student quality is the quality of ideology and morality, of which, this article, and based on historical facts generalizes the features of various periods, outlines the development trail, presents marks on New China＇s college student ideological moral development of the 60 years, and analyses the decisive role of economic base, the leading role of ideology politics education, and the infiltrating role of traditional as well as alien cultures in the process of change and development, in the light of historical division of ideological political education history.
