An Example for Others and Hu Yuan’s Model Education

胡瑗强调以正接人,认为教师必须修洁自居、自新其德,以自己良好的行为让学生受到积极的影响。他高度重视施教者的道德、知识水平;特别强调教师首先必须掌握和精通教学内容的全部知识,并能"以身先之",身教与言教相结合,起表率作用;还特别注重师友的重要作用,并把同心、合作作为重要的教育内容。

Hu Yuan emphasizes to be an upright person, and he thinks that a teacher must be pure and kind, setting a good example for students to follow. HuYuan attaches great importance to teachers＇ morality, knowledge; especially focusing on being a model for learners. Hu Yuan also believes teachers and friends together play a great role in education, and that being united and cooperative are important content of education.
