论新加坡语言状况及语言政策

新加坡有英语、华语、马来语、泰米尔语四种官方语言，这些语言的使用情况有一定的差别。为了加强民族团结、抵制过度西化，新加坡政府制定并实施了正确的语言政策与语言教育政策。在世界经济一体化日益加快与濒危语言现象日益突出形成矛盾的今天，新加坡语言规划与语言政策的成功为世界上许多的多语言国家解决语言问题提供了经验。

Singapore boasts for its four official languages--English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, which are used in slightly differences. In order to reinforce the cohesionamong the ethnic groups and also defend the over-occidentalization from the westernworld, their government established the right language policy and education policyand brought them into force, which set an good example for many other countries.
