A Quite Distinctive Information Economics Book——A Review of Information Economics by Gui Xuewen and Lou Cequn

《信息经济学》一书对国内存在的两种信息经济学理论体系研究进行有机融合,对信息经济学学科体系提出新见解;阐述信息经济对传统经济的影响,辨析信息经济与其他新型经济的辨证关系;注重基础理论,强调实际,采用案例教学。其不足有两点:一是在不对称信息经济的研究中未提及博弈论的理论;二是缺少对信息经济学新兴的一些研究领域的介绍,如电子商务经济学、信息系统经济学、信息机构经济学等。

The book integrates two types of information economics theory which exist in China,puts forward new ideas to Information Economics＇ subject system, expounds the impact on traditional economics from information economics, and discriminates the relationship between information economy and other new economy. It also emphasizes the theory, practice, and the case method. But there are two deficiencies in this book. Firstly, the Game Theory is not mentioned in the research of asymmetry information economicy. Secondly, some new fields which just emerge into Information Economics are not covered in this book, such as information system economics and information organization economics.
