摘要
本文从赛珍珠两种文化主体性平等关系的探讨入手,用巴赫金的"对话"思想对赛珍珠跨文化的小说思想进行观察,从三个维度阐述了赛珍珠跨文化小说思想的意义:历史文化的维度,赛珍珠的小说思想像一面镜子,使她可以搁置民族主义情绪,相对中允地评价中国小说现代发展过程中对自身传统的漠视与偏颇;现实文化的维度,赛珍珠的小说思想像一个向导,使她能够关注中国小说的民间特性,从而关注中国现当代文学中一个至关重要的"为什么人"的问题;文化全球化的维度,赛珍珠的小说像一座桥梁,在沟通中国文化和美国文化,沟通中国和世界方面做出的努力,在当今全球化的时代,其意义更加明显。
This paper, by using theory of Bakhtin's dialogism, discusses Pearl Buck's Bi--culture ideas in her novels and elaborates the Sense of her Bi--culture ideas from three dimensions: To the dimension of history culture, Pearl Buck is like a mirror, and she could suspend nationalism to impersonally evaluate the disregard and the prejudice against the Chinese traditional novels in the process of the Chinese novel modernization. To the dimension of reality culture, Pearl Buck is like a guide, she could concern folk identity of Chinese traditional novels. In other words, she concerned question "For whom?" which is the essential question in the field of Chinese modern literature. To the dimension of culture globalization, Pearl Buck is like a bridge, her contributions to communications between China and America, China and the whole world are so significant.
