遥感考古是利用遥感图像直接提取与古遗迹有关的遥感信息。南陵县古遗迹遥感调查是以室内彩红外航片目视解译为主。选用1982年11月航摄的1:1.6万彩红外航片放大片作为遥感信息提取的基本信息源。这一航片是秋冬季航摄,地面植被稀少。
