摘要
本文初次研究了龟纹瓢虫残食同种卵的行为。结果表明:龟纹瓢虫幼虫和成虫均有明显的残食同种卵行为。初孵幼虫取食2粒卵即可完成一龄发育,但生存时间明显延长。以其卵作食料可完成幼虫发育,但发育历期较慢;成虫残食同种卵则无生殖能力。因此认为,当自然界缺乏猎物时,龟纹瓢虫卵可作为增加它的生存机会及种群延续的一种替换食料。这种残食同种卵行为对于种群自我调节和繁衍有着重要的生物学意义。
The feeding behaviour of propylea japonica(Thunberg)on same species eggs
was first studied and comparisions were made on the effects of those eggs
as foods laid by Coccinella septempunctata,Harmonia axyridis and the eggs of
the same kind on larval development and adult fecundity in laboratory.The
results indicated that larva and adult of the ladybeetle prefere towards its
eggs of the same kind.The newly hatched larva eating two eggs was enough
to develop into second-instar stage but the developmental duratlon was
apparently longer.The Whole larval development could be completed when only
fed on eggs cannibalism,but the duration of growth became prolonged.The
adult showed no fecundity.The conclusion can be,therefore,drawn that on
egg cannibalism as a substitute food for increasing the survival chance and
preserving the species while lack of prey in nature is considered of great
significance in self-regulation and population reproduction.
