The Reform of HongKong's Exchange Rate System under the Financial Crisis

本文结合现状分析了香港联系汇率制度的内在矛盾及其对香港经济的影响。认为香港未来汇率制度的选择:目前应坚持联系汇率制度;但在中国经济一体化的框架下,拟建立更具竞争力的汇率制度安排,即通过与人民币建立更为密切的关系,最终达到港币与人民币一体化,实行浮动汇率制度。

This paper analyzed the impact of HongKong＇s Exchange Rate system on Hongkong＇s economy, and held that HongKong＇s Exchange Rate System should stick to the link exchange rate system. But a more competitive arrangement should be set up under the framework of Big China economy＇s integration. And through a tight relation with RenMinBi, the Hongkong Dollar could achieve integration with RenMinBi, and make up the float exchange rate system.
