明代西北的教育

School Education of Northwest in Ming Dynasty

本文认为明代西北的教育,在元朝基础上又有了长足的发展,几乎所有的府州县以及陕西行都指挥使司属下的卫所都办起了学校。关中、陇右地区的书院也较多。明朝政府将学校教育与科举考试、官吏选拔直接挂钩,极大地刺激了青年士人进学读书的积极性。其将学校当作社会宣教的重要场合,又充分利用了现有的教育资源和设施。明代西北的教育不仅培养了大批的统治人才,而且在引导社会舆论,促进民族地区的团结、稳定等方面也起了巨大的作用。

The education level of the Northwest China during Ming Dynasty has developed on the basis of the Yuan Dynasty. Almost all the prefecture administrative divisions and counties and Shaanxi Hsing Tu-ssu had school. There are also many academies in Guanzhong and Longyou area. School education was directly linked to the imperial examination and the selection of officials. That stimulated the initiative of the young scholars. School education as an important social occasion was made good use of the existing educational resources and facilities. The education level of the Northwest China during Ming Dynasty trained a large number of talented people, played a great role to guide public opinion, promote national unity, stability in ethnic minority areas.
