广西合浦独木舟放射性碳定年

Radiocarbon age of canoe from Hepu,Guangxi

摘要 为了确定在广西合浦县发现的古独木舟的年代,利用北京大学的小加速器质谱计对4个取自独木舟不同部位的木头样品进行了14C年代测定,结果表明,此独木舟的14C年龄为(365±20)BP.经14C-树轮年代校正曲线校正后,表明独木舟建造的日历年龄在1460-1580AD(2σ的置信区间). In order to confirm the canoe's age, four wood samples taken from different parts of canoe were measured by a compact accelerator mass spectrometry system at Peking University. The results showed that the 14C age of canoe was (365± 20) BP. With the calibration curve of tree ring, the range in possible calendar dates of building the canoe was from 1460 to 1 580 AD (within 2σ of conventional values).
