On Chinese Translation of the Vehicles in English Emotion Metaphor——Based on the Equivalence Theories of Nida and Bassnett

翻译中宏观的文化与微观的信息相互交叉,相互依赖,不可分割。因此在英语情感隐喻喻体表达的汉译中,译者应该在考虑相关文化背景的情况下,优先、综合考虑原喻体文化功能与意义的传递,并在可能的情况下尽量保留原喻体的形式。

The macro culture and the micro message in translation mutually intersect with, mutually depend on and can not be separated from each other. Thus in the Chinese translation process for vehicles of English emotional metaphorieal expressions,translators should give their top priorities to the combined transmission of the cultural functions and meanings of the English vehicles while paying attention to the related cultural backgrounds , as well as try their best to retain the form of the English vehicles if possible.
