Urban Forest Makes Guangzhou City More Wonderful——Practices of urban forest in Guangzhou City

通过对人类文明史的简要回顾,论述了生态文明的科学内涵,指出生态文明的要义是人类要充分地尊重自然,与自然界共同进化。生态城市的发展理念,要落实到社会生态化、经济生态化和环境生态化之中。近10年来生态文明在广州的实践,具体表现在构建绿色城市、发展绿色产业、培育绿色生活等方面。广州初步实现了在科学发展观指导下从工业文明向生态文明的平稳过渡。

By reviewing the civilization history of mankind, this paper describes the scientific meanings of ecological civilization that mankind should adequately respect the nature and evolve themselves together with the nature. The concept of developing ecological city should be implemented through integration of ecological principles into social, economic and environmental development. In the past 10 years, the practices of ecological civilization in Guangzhou city have been reflected in the efforts of building green city, developing green industries and green livelihood. Guangzhou has already realized the stable transition from industrial civilization to the ecological civilization with the guidance of the concept of scientific development.
