摘要
The Caijiapo Grottoes is located at the west side of Songjiayao village at Caijiapo Town,Qishan County, Shaanxi Province.In February 2008, an investigation and a detailed mapping have been accomplished by the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology.A total of 5 Caves and 10 small bass-relief Images Niches were identified.These five caves can be divided into three types: Huge Image Cave,Cavern Buddha Hall and Recessed Feeding Buddha Cave.These Grottoes are dated to between the Northern Dynasties and the Tang Dynasty.The discovery of Caijiapo Grottoes provides important information on the studies of Buddhism Statues in Guanzhong Plain.
