《大戴礼记·文王官人》篇,可以说是我国古代探讨心理测验问题的一篇专门文献。它考察了心理测验的意义、困难及其原因,肯定了心理并非是不可测的,特别是提出了"观诚"、"考志"、"视中"、"观色"、"观隐"与"揆德"等六种心理测验方法。这些观点尤其是对测验方法的见解,至今仍具有一定的参考价值。

Emperor Wen Observeds People from Records of Rites Compiled by Dai the Elder can be deemed as literature exploringpsychometrical problems in ancient China. It looks into the significance, difficulties and their causes in psychological testing, affirms the measurability of the mind, and in particular puts forward the six methods of ＂Guancheng＂ ,＂Kaozhi＂, ＂Shizhong＂, ＂Guanse＂, ＂Guanyin＂ ,＂Kuide＂. All these viewpoints, especially in testing methods, still have some referential value.
