According to the requests of the small thermal power plant,a real-time monitoring and management system which is based on computer and communication technology is discussed in this paper.Moreover,its structure and functions are analyzed and some problems and experience are epitomized.Finally,the prospect of such a system for the small power plant would be considerable.
