Microsoft Excel is a current PC electronic sheet software with powerful functions such as formula calculation, database sorting and filtering, data analysis and chart making and others. Applying Microsoft Excel to data processing in regional geological reconnaissance can largely raise working efficiency and improve quality of the result. It is valuable to reform some traditional methods of data processing in regional geological reconnaissance . This paper briefly describes the application of Microsoft Excel and its effect.
