In network economy the networking of industrial organizations is promoted due to incompatibility between the wide application of information technology and technological market so that eventually emerges a new type of market pattern-competitive monopoly. According to an overall-information static game analysis, the article proves that technological innovation is the ultimate incentive that motivates the development of the market pattern from oligopoly to competitive monopoly. Intense innovation ensures that competitive monopoly is the most efficient market pattern in network economy.
