How to Lead the Ideological Trend with the Socialist Core Value System?

建设社会主义核心价值体系,积极探索用社会主义核心价值体系引领社会思潮的有效途径,是党的十七大提出的战略任务。用社会主义核心价值体系引领社会思潮,一是要用发展成就以及在发展中解决现实问题的成效增强社会主义核心价值体系的吸引力和说服力;二是要在改革开放进程中以开放心态吸收和借鉴社会思潮的合理部分,以其鲜明的时代性和创新性引领社会思潮;三是要在新形势下坚决批判和抵制错误思潮,在批判中彰显社会主义核心价值体系的科学性和真理性。

It is a strategic mission proposed at the 17th CPC National Congress to establish a socialist core value system and to explore the way to lead the ideological trend with it. In order to achieve this goal, we should augment the attraction and persuasion of the value system with our achievement and the effectiveness in solving the existing problems in our social practice. Secondly, in the course of our reforming and opening to the outside world, we should absorb and take as a source of referenee the reasonable part of all the ideological trends. Thirdly, we must firmly resist the deviated ideological trend and advocate the scientific and true value in the theoretical system of socialism.
