The father image in the works of contemporary Chinese American female writers not only refleets the characteristics of Chinese American men in different periods, but also reveals the different understanding and reflection on Chinese history and culture in ethnic groups. The changes of father image enable people to find the change of culture and faith, and meanwhile explore the hidden identity in an immigrant community. Based on analysis on the main features of Chinese American father image in the works of contemporary Chinese American female writers, this paper aims to show the hidden historical and cultural connotations behind the father image, display the living condition of Chinese men and Chinese culture in American society, and reveal the implication difficult to express behind the father image.
