摘要
作为ixiolite富Nb端元成员的新矿物,阿山矿历来存在疑义与争议,虽然,阿山矿事实上得到IMACNMMN的追认。阿山矿原型标本的再研究揭示,该矿物尽管和ixiolite等结构,但其化学成分并非Nb>Ta,而是Ta>Nb;其U3O8的含量远非23,81%,仅有0.63%;Mn>>Fe,不是Fe>Mn;等等。显然,阿山矿不具备ixiolite富Nb端元成员的基本前提,应于否定。否定阿山矿的申请,已获IMACNMMN正式批准。
Ashanite, described as a new Nb-dominant analogue of ixiolite, is always a doubtful andcontroversial mineral,though it had been subsequently endorsed by the IMA CNMMN. Re-exami-nation of the typical ashanite specimen showed that the mineral is identical to ixiolite in structure,but with Nb<Ta chemically, i. e., ashanite=ixiolite. Another significant chemical difference liesin U3O8 content-0. 63 % against 23. 81 %, and Fe/Mn ratio-1. 04 against 0. 48. It is quite evidenttnat the name of ashanite must be discredited. The discreditation of ashanite was approved by theIMA CNMMN.
