摘要
针对无线自组织(ad hoc)网络中介质接入控制(MAC)协议能量消耗问题,提出了一种能量敏感的EAMAC协议。EAMAC采用分布式的节能传输机制,根据网络中实际的通信流量自适应地调整ATIM窗口的大小,在保证网络吞吐量的前提下避免了节能模式(PSM)中冲突、旁听和空闲侦听造成的能量消耗。EAMAC通过分布式簇构建算法产生簇并选择簇头,以轮换的方式降低节点的能量消耗。仿真结果以及与现有机制的对比表明,提出的EAMAC具有更好的吞吐量、能量效率、网络生命周期和端到端时延。
To improve energy efficiency of medium access control (MAC) protocol of wireless ad hoc networks, an energy-aware MAC protocol called EAMAC is proposed. EAMAC adopts a distributed power-saving transmission scheme, which adjusts the size of adhoc traffic indication message (ATIM) window adaptively according to the actual tragic load in order to reduce unnecessary energy consumption caused by collision, overheating, and idle listening in power saving mode without degrading the throughput. EAMAC also employs a distributed clustering algorithm which selects cluster head node to reduce node power consumption in turn. Simulation results and comparisons with existed schemes show that the proposed EAMAC attains better energy efficiency, throughput, network lifetime as well as end-to-end delay.
