冯友兰的哲学继承了中国哲学传统并借鉴西方哲学智慧,既深化了中国哲学宇宙本体论的思想特点——重理性,又归结到中国传统哲学的精神实质——尊德性,同时在方法路径上选择了传统儒家的一以贯之之道——道中庸。冯友兰哲学作为中国现代哲学的重要创获,其贡献主要体现在"三史""六书"中。

Feng You-lan＇ s philosophy research follows Chinese philosophical tradition and western philosophical essence. Therefore, he not only deepens Chinese philosophy＇ s feature of universe ontology of emphasizing rationality, but also relates it to the spirit essence of Chinese traditional philosophy of respecting morality. At the same time, he selects the middle-ground as the method, which runs through the entire traditional Confucianism. As the important achievement of Chinese modern philosophy, his philosophy＇s contribution is mainly expressed in his three books on Chinese philosophy history and six books on Chinese philosophy.
