As a compreensive farmer's society, modern Japanese Farmer's Society is well known throughout the world. Its historical origin dated back to non-governmental financial institutions in rural areas during the Edo period which were represented by "tanomosiko"and "houtokusya". As Spontaneously formed non-governmental financial institutions, "tanomosiko"and "houtokusya"played a certain historical role in the development of rural economy in Japan. "Houtokusya"educated people both economically and ideologically. "Bundo"and "suijyou"centered economic thought of "houtokusya" can still be used as a source of reference nowadays.
