通过对用主应力表示的Ｃｏｕｌｏｍｂ准则与Ｇｒｉｆｉｔｈ准则的比较分析，揭示了Ｃｏｕｌｏｍｂ准则不仅与Ｇｒｉｆｉｔｈ，Ｍｏｈｒ准则有很好的一致性，而且在理论分析和工程应用方面比Ｇｒｉｆｉｔｈ，Ｍｏｈｒ准则更加实用和方便。同时提出了确定Ｃｏｕｌｏｍｂ准则强度曲线的简便方法。

It is revealed that coulomb criterion is not only consistent very well with griffith criterion or mohr′s hypothesis,but also more practical and convenient in the analysis of the theory and engineering applications according to comparing coulomb criterion expressed by primary stresses with griffith criterion.Moreover,a handy way is raised to delimit the strength curve of coulomb criterion.
