Desirous of a Flight——a study of the women's subject consciousness in contemporary Chinese female literature

"五四"新文化运动促使女性自我意识、主体意识觉醒,20世纪三四十年代社会政治革命与民族解放斗争为女性主体意识注入阶级、政治、民族等新的内涵,八九十年代以来改革开放和社会转型,为中国女性自由独立、两性和谐的主体意识发展带来了新的契机与挑战,女性创作实现了新的主体精神超越。女性主体性的生长伴随中国现代社会发展的历史进程和现代社会文化政治变革的实践以代际累积的方式发展。

May 4th Movement promoted the awakeniing of women＇s self consciousness and subject consciousness. During 1930s and 1940s, the social political revolution and national liberation brought new contents to women＇s subject consciousness, such as class, politics, and nation. The reform and opening and social transformation in 3980s brought new opportunities and challenges to Chinese women＇s free, independent, harmonious subject consciousness. Women＇s creation has realized a new spiritual transcendence of subject. Thus, the development of women＇s subjectivity has come along with the historical process of the development of China＇ s modern society and with the practice of cultural and political reform of modern society, and it has developed in an intro - generational and accumulative way.
