20世纪,随着现代性因素不断增加,中国城市空间关系呈现出纷繁复杂的重构现象。如果从空间文化的角度重读《财主底儿女们》就会发现:作品所展示的苏州——南京——上海、武汉、九江、重庆等一系列城市的空间结构关系,清晰地再现了那个时代人民的生活状态和生存方式,以及社会转型时期城市空间的重构方式,这种变化正是以家族为中心的社会结构模式在全球化趋势下发展的必然结果。

With the increase of modern factors, the 20th century witnessed complicated reconstruction of spatial relations of cities in China. Rereading The Children of the Moneybags from the perspective of spatial culture, we will find that the spatial structure of the cities such as Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Jiujiang, Chongqing, clearly represents the living conditions and the existing means of the people at that time, together with the reconstructing means of urban space during the social transformation. This change is an inevitable result of the development of family centered social structure in the trend of globalization.
