摘要
印第安纳大学是美国一所典型的公立研究型大学,其网络教育开展具有如下特征:不同院系在网络教育开展时"各自为政";普通院系更倾向于在硕士层次开展网络教育,且与校园教育存在一定程度的整合;学校层面构建有完善的技术支持和教学咨询服务体系;网络教育发展呈现出国际化特征等。这些特征可为我国研究型大学发展网络教育提供借鉴。
In order to study the development of online education in American public research universities, a case study of Indianan University has been conducted. Several characteristics have been identified as the following: different departments run online education separately; general academic departments tend to offer master's degree programs and integrate with their on-campus programs; there are sufficient technology supports and instructional services provided in campus-level; the internationalization of online education is emerging. These characteristics could be references to the development of online education in research universities in China.
