This will be a development trend in computer network teaching in universities by building simulator platform with network simulator tools to improve student＇s comprehension for computer network teaching. This paper illustrates network simulator＇s application and effects in teaching by introducing the NS2＇s characteristics, principle, workflow and examples of teaching.
