回望十年的扩招之路,不能仅仅驻足于简单的批评或附和,需要在认清扩招之路的痛与痒的基础上,认真反思掺杂于扩招之中的价值观念,以期走出扩招之路上的时代困境。这场基于经济学视野的改革,必然会在工具理性作用下形成一种工具化的倾向,导致一种牺牲卓越品质的"数据"大众化,从而致使对当前扩招的教育学辩护失败。高等教育已经深陷于工具理性的窠臼之中,而扩招更是加剧了大学工具化、商品化的时代境遇,失却了对"人之为人"的价值关怀。只有重申大学精神,才能走出工具化与功利化合谋的时代困境。
