Consumers have the right to know when they face genetically modified foods. Its legitimacy comes from information symmetry in the economic principles, acting on one＇s own and knowing in the moral principles and democracy in the political principles. The producers and sellers have obligation to offer consumers accurate information about GMF. Consumer＇ right to know must be respected. In order to protect consumer＇s right to know, genetically modified foods in the market should be labeled.
