本文通过以叙述地中海气候及其相应的植物为开端,从当地农作物的品种、作物栽培和加工技术等方面论述地中海农耕文化的衍变历史,揭示出发生在地中海地区的若干次农业革命给人类社会带来的影响。同时通过将之与世界其它主要几个农耕文化相比较印证,希望对亚洲和非洲如何更快地发展自身农业的问题有所启发。

Started with the narration of the climate and the plants in the Mediterranean area, the thesis discuss the local crop types, the cultivation and the processing techniques in detail to tell a history of the development of the Mediterranean agriculture complex, trying to show the significance to the human society of several agricultural revolutions occurred in this area. In the mean time the article compares the Mediterranean agricultural complex to other important agricultural complexes in the world and hopes it may be helpful on figuring out how to improve Asian and African countries＇ agricultural productivity.
