The computer data acquisition system based on the MODBUS Filed-bus is introduced in this paper. The IPC is taken as the main station, and the data acquisition card with the protocol interface is taken as the slave stations. The data transmission between computer and field equipments is implemented via the MODBUS protocol. The basic contains, format, system composition and structure of MODBUS communication protocol, as well as the software function are discussed.
