Constructivist theory lays emphasis on the social-cultural aspect of learning. And the Col- lege English autonomous learning under multi-media environment attaches importance to student-centered classroom which is in a good accordance with the constructivist theory. So it is obvious that con- structivist theory has great implications for China＇s English language teaching reform and the cultivation of autonomous language learning.
