Problem- based learning is a new teaching model which focuses on taking learners as the center and prob-lems as the center, which coincides with the learning theories and principles of constructivism. The paper, based on the characteristics of open English teaching and specific teaching practice, explores the application of the problem - based learning model in open English teaching.
