Translation Criticism from the Perspective of Context:Explanation Based on Contingency Theory

翻译批评难有统一的批评标准,把某一种文体的翻译批评标准当作通用标准显然是行不通的。文章参照权变概念,提出翻译批评也应权变,根据不同的文体,采用不同的标准,并尝试通过语境视角来探讨这些标准的制定,提出基于语境的翻译批评权变概念。

It＇s difficult to have a universal criterion for translation criticism. Regarding criterion for translation criticism of a certain genre as the universal criterion won＇t work. According to contingency theory, the author puts forward the idea that translation criticism should also be contingent, that is, different criterion should be adopted for different genre, and tries to explore the making of these criterion from the perspective of context. The idea of contingency of translation criticism based on context is thus discussed in detail.
