The development process and theoretical system of the first shipbuilding modernization are briefly described. The future process of the theory and system of the second shipbuilding modernization, which is charactered by the transformation to the production modes of giantization of blocks, parallel in different locations and seamless integration, is further expounded from the aspects of lightenization, greenization, globalization and informationization in shipbuilding.
