Strategic management has been the essential method for financial institutions to improve competitiveness and promote development. The article focuses on the strategic management issues of rural cooperative financial institutions. It analyzes the nessesity of strategic management and its programming module, clarify the strategic choices for rural financial institutions, and finally proposes suggestions.
