英汉发音、节奏差异及汉语的负迁移效应探析

Pronunciation and Rhythm Discrepancies between English and Chinese and the Negative Transfer of Chinese

英汉发音有两大明显的差别:由于英文元音在发音时要运用鼻腔辅助力量,所以较汉语同音位的元音要响亮;相对于"实在"的汉语辅音发音,英文的辅音常被弱化或省略。同时,汉英讲话节拍各不相同,同汉语相比,英文体现了"重音节拍"这一特点。比较英汉发音及节奏差异,可以有效地克服汉语的负迁移效应,提高英文听说的能力。

There are two distinct differences between Chinese and English pronunciation： the vowel sounds in English involve nasal effort; compared with those in Chinese, the consonants in English sound more brief, and could be even omitted under certain circumstances. Concurrently, there is a major rhythm discrepancy between English and Chinese, that is, English pronunciation features ＂ stress -timed rhythm＂. Such comparison study is a necessary approach to avoiding the negative transfer of Chinese, and achieving good proficiency in English.
