Zhang Kangkang is an influential woman writer in contemporary China. In her novel Zuonv, she explores the ideal survival state of the female in contemporary cities from a new perspective. The paper discusses the survival ideal of the female from the viewpoints of strong female consciousness, unconventional love and marriage idea, as well as the true and ideal love seeking.
