工科研究生英语学术语篇的显在劝说性研究

摘要 通过自建小型语料库对比分析了工科研究生英语学术写作语篇和LOB语料库中的学术语篇的显在劝说性。研究发现,工科研究生在英语学术写作语篇中比LOB中的学术语篇明显更少使用显在劝说性的标记语。工科研究生在英语学术论文写作中应该更加明确体现自己的观点。 The paper attempts to compare the overt persuasion markers in the small corpus of engineering graduates' English academic texts constructed by the author and the corpus of academic prose in LOB. It is found that significantly fewer overt persuasion markers are used in the corpus of engineering graduates' English academic texts than in the corpus of academic prose in LOB. These engineering graduates are suggested to display their viewpoints more explicitly in their English academic writing, where necessary.
